Don’t Be Scared of The Cost of Infertility

The idea of infertility can be daunting, and often the first question asked is “How much will it cost?” Many believe fertility treatments will break the bank, but that is not the case. In fact, many patients are surprised that the cost is much less than anticipated. The Fertility Center of Charleston (TFCOC) offers many cost savings programs for their patients, and Dr. Stephanie Singleton and her team have helped patients save more than $100,000 on medication costs alone. They are committed to making sure that fertility treatment is possible for any couple or individual seeking help with conception. Here are a few cost savings programs TFCOC provides:

Medication Savings Programs

There are various medication discount programs available. TFCOC participates in the Compassionate Care program as well as First Steps, which is available to self-pay patients needing help paying for their medications. These medication benefits can be used regardless of the type of fertility treatment – either ovulation induction and intrauterine insemination (OI / IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Financing Programs

TFCOC offers patients competitive, cost effective financial programs. TFCOC is committed to making the cost of fertility treatments predictable and affordable. We offer a number of affordable options for patients to choose from to include In vitro fertilization, intrauterine insemination, egg freezing, and sperm freezing. There are also several financing options available.

Military Savings

“We are proud to be a part of a new way to help serve the men and women of our military who may be experiencing financial barriers to fertility treatment” -Stephanie D. Singleton, MD, FACOG

TFCOC is proud to help all the families in service to our country realize their dreams of parenthood. Often military patients in SC and Georgia have Tricare insurance, http://www.tricare.mil/CoveredServices

Insurance

TFCOC finance department is always available to answer insurance questions and financing options. TFCOC accepts Tricare, BCBS (State), BCBS PPO, Blue Choice, Cigna, UHC, and Aetna and are providers for Memorial Health Partners.

Procedures at different price points

Not all procedures are the same. Often patients may not need the most costly procedure to start a family. For example, IUI is often a less invasive and less expensive option for patients. Dr. Singleton provides individualized care through personalized treatment plans.
